SUMMER 2011
Played for the Cowlitz Black Bears (28-26) of the West Coast League as the second-year club finished in third place of the West Division standings…played in the WCL All-Star Game and was named the No. 6 prospect in the league by Perfect Game…in six starts finished with a 2-2 record and 4.01 ERA…in 33 and 2/3 innings pitched, struck out 24 batters… the Black Bears also won the Jim Dietz Sportsmanship Award, given to the team showing exceptional sportsmanship.

AS A FRESHMAN | 2011
One of only three lefties on the staff, made 22 appearances including three starts…finished the year with a 5.94 ERA, 0-1 record and one save…tossed a total of 16 and 2/3 innings, striking out nine…with runners on the corners and the go-ahead run at the plate, coaxed the opposing batter into a groundout to get the final out of the top of the ninth as UO defeated BYU 4-2 (03/11)…in his first start, tossed five and 1/3 innings allowing one run on one hit and two walks while striking out three in a 4-2 loss to Portland (04/27).

HIGH SCHOOL
Graduated in the winter of 2010 from Bonneville High School in Idaho Falls, Idaho...the top-ranked player (No. 46 nationally) in the state of Idaho according to Perfect Game Crosschecker …was a 2010 Under Armour All-American…played for the Washington Nationals in the 2010 Area Code Games…was the 2010 All-Area Player of the Year…participated in the 2010 USA Baseball Tournament of Stars and was chosen as an alternate for the 18U USA Baseball roster…was a two-time 4A High Country League First Team selection…as a junior in 2010, helped the Bees to a 25-6 record with a 10-1 record on the mound and 0.42 ERA…recorded 135 strikeouts and just 34 walks…at the plate batted .417 with five home runs...was also named to the All-Area Academic Team.

Played for the Bonneville Bees (American Legion) under head coach Joldy Watts, winning two state titles.
