The Ducks' most gifted multi-sport athlete and 2013 Sullivan Award Finalist continued to raise the bar as a sophomore and became its first underclass volleyball All-American, an All-American in her NCAA javelin debut (eighth, 168-8) and a key member of the basketball and track and field squads. Honored with UO athletic department's Doyle Higdon award as its top sophomore student-athlete among all its sports. As a freshman in 2011-12, was an All-Pac-12 Freshman Team volleyball choice, and joined the basketball and softball teams midseason after injuries to key players on both squads. As a high school senior, the Oregon 6A prep volleyball player of the year in 2010 was an AVCA Under Armour Prep First-Team All-American her senior season and an all-state first-team choice also as a sophomore and junior. Was also tabbed the 2011 6A state basketball player of the year, won 6A state shot put titles in 2010 and '11 (and was a javelin runner-up), and was a 2009 6A first-team all-state softball choice, not to mention an 11-time raquetball world champion.

2012-13 Redshirt Freshman Track & Field Season: All-American
After the basketball season ended in March, quickly switched gears and returned to javelin practice for the first time in nearly two years. Made collegiate throwing debut in the Oregon Preview in late March (third, 141-5) on a short approach. Gradually, added more speed and technical improvements in her four regular season appearances in April's and early May's Pepsi Invitational (third, 142-2), Oregon Relays (second, 153-1), Oregon State High Performances (first, 130-1) and Oregon Twilight (first, 157-10). In the Pac-12 Championships in mid-May at USC, led the Pac-12 champions in the event (third place overall, 149-11) and matched her pre-meet seeding. Ended regular season ranked 35th nationally, and earned bid to NCAA Championships after she placed seventh in the NCAA West Preliminary Round (160-10) with a then-personal best. In the NCAA finale, uncorked a 10-foot, 10-inch personal best to place eighth in the final standings. Also in the collegiate finale at Hayward Field in Eugene, she threw 167-2 on her final toss, and topped 153 feet on her first (158-5), fourth (157-1) and fifth throws (153-10).

2012-13 Sophomore Basketball Season
After the volleyball team's run to the NCAA Tournament finale, she resumed practice with the basketball team in late December and played her first game of the season off the bench vs. No. 1 Connecticut on New Year's Eve. She ultimately played 20 games (and started the last 18 of the campaign), and averaged 7.9 points, 7.4 rebounds and 30.3 minutes per game on the season. Among her six, double-digit scoring efforts, her season high came vs. Oregon State  (17), and she added eight rebounds. Also has five double-digit rebound efforts with a high of 15 in the Pac-12 tourney vs. Washington and also vs. Utah. That latter tilt vs. the Utes also marked her second double-double, thanks to her 11 points. Scored her first career double-double at ASU (10 points, 12 rebounds), and just missed others at Arizona (10 points, 9 rebounds) and at Washington (9 points, 11 rebounds). Her other season highs follow: field goal percentage (.500 (5-of-10) at Utah), steals (3, at California; vs. Utah), free throws (7-for-10 at Oregon State). The heavy-hitting prep All-American smoothly slid into the fast-paced Oregon offense. That November, became the sixth Duck under head coach Jim Moore to receive All-Pac-12 Freshman Team acclaim (and 13th overall since the conference's origin in 1986).  For the season, she topped Duck newcomers and ranked third on the squad in kills (2.74 per set), just behind junior outside hitter Katherine Fischer (2.75 p/s), and also stood third among starters in hitting (.241) and points (2.96 p/s), and fourth in blocks (0.39 p/s). Picked up her second Pac-12 Freshman of Week honor after the team's second-ever pair of road wins at then-No. 5 Stanford and then-No. 3 California in mid-November to cement an NCAA tournament invitation for the squad. At the Cardinal, she tied the league regular season high in kills (31)  – and became only the third frosh to stake +20 kills on the season with Arizona’s Madison Kingdon (20, .255 at OSU) and Utah’s Chelsey Schofield (21, .167 at ASU). Her team season high .651 hitting mark that night against the nation’s top-ranked blocking team was the Pac-12’s eighth-best mark overall on the year and best with 20 or more kills. Similarly, her 32.5 points was a team season high and sixth-best overall in the league (and tops among underclassmen). The next night at Berkeley, she she led the team in blocks (4), and landed 13 kills. Two weeks before, she picked up her first Pac-12 Freshman of the Week nod after the team's sweep at NCAA qualifier Arizona (9K) and 3-1 win at ASU (18K, .371). Could have easily won a third honor after her impressive first weekend of collegiate play in the AVCA Collegiate Showcase at then-No.1 Penn State. In the 3-1 win over the four-time defending national champions, she logged a match high .579 hitting mark - the team's second-best mark of the season - and had 12 kills and four digs. The next night against then-No. 12 Minnesota, she hit .368 and added 10 kills and three blocks against the eventual NCAA regional advancers in the 3-2 loss. Overall, she had 14 double-digit kill tallies (including 11 in league play) and topped .300 in nine matches, including a third .500 mark that ranked sixth-best for UO on the season (.526, 12K-2E-19A in home sweep vs. Colorado). Among the team's 31 matches overall, she paced the team in hitting six times, and the following # of matches in blocks (4), kills (2) and points (2). In the winter, joined the Duck basketball team after an injury to starting forward Amanda Johnson. Ultimately started eight basketball games and played 21, and averaged 5.8 points, 5.8 rebounds and 23.8 minutes a game as a forward. Her season scoring high (16 points) came against USC in late January only a month after she joined the team. In spring, joined softball team in mid-April after the team's back-up catcher, All-Region pick and sophomore Courtney Ceo, suffered a season-ending knee injury. Brenner proceeded to play the next day in both games in the doubleheader sweep of Portland State and walked twice, and scored twice in her six at-bats. At season's end, ended with three walks and two runs among her 10 at-bats.
