2013 SEASON

Made two appearances out of the bullpen finishing the season with a 4.50 ERA … Struck out two while allowing four walks and one hit in 2.0 innings pitched … First career appearance came in 10-4 win over Texas State with an inning pitched, a strikeout and a run scored on a hit … Pitched one scoreless inning in 5-1 win vs. Portland striking out one and walking one.

A 2011 graduate of Westview High School in Beaverton, Ore. … Led the Wildcats to the program’s first Oregon School Activities Association Class 6A state championship during senior season … Named first-team All-Metro League after the Wildcats finished 27-5 overall and 12-3 in league play … Finished the year 8-3 with a 2.61 ERA while striking out 96 in 72.1 innings pitched and issuing just 33 walks … Hit two home runs in the state title game, including a three-run shot in the top of the seventh that clinched Westview’s 9-6 win over Central Catholic as the Wildcats overcame an early five-run deficit … Defeated Jesuit 18-0 in the semifinals as Johnson drove in six runs and hit a grand slam … Ranked as the No. 1 prospect (156 nationally) in the 2011 class from the state of Oregon by Perfect Game and considered the No. 2 prospect in the state by Baseball Northwest … A two-time second-team 6A all-state selection (2009 & 2010) … A two-time all-Metro League Pitcher of the Year (2009 and 2010) … During junior season, helped the Wildcats to the OSAA 6A quarterfinals, and finished  with a 7-3 record on the mound with one save … Tossed a total of 65.1 innings, while striking out 65 and holding opposing batters to a .171 average … Batted .319 with 10 doubles, one triple, two home runs, 13 runs scored and 22 RBI … Won three consecutive Metro League championships at Westview.

In 2010 played for the Washington Nationals in the Area Code Games with former Duck Cole Wiper… Played for Westview in the 2010 summer league and was 11-0 on the mound with one save, tossing a total of 66.2 innings, recording 95 strikeouts and holding opposing batters to a .104 average … Hit .459 with 11 doubles, one triple, eight home runs, 47 RBI, 35 runs scored and 21 walkS.
