Played for the West Coast League Cowlitz Black Bears.

HIGH SCHOOL
A 2012 graduate of Servite high school in Anaheim, Calif…. Played baseball under head coach Dave Lawn for three years and under Jeff Sears for one year … Played for the USA Baseball 18U national team in the COPABE Junior AAA/18U Pan American Championships … Considered the 22nd-ranked recruit in the state of California and the 80th-ranked recruit in the country by Perfect Game … Considered the 70th-ranked prospect in the 2012 class by Baseball America … Played in the 2011 Under Armour All-American game at Wrigley Field, and played for the Milwaukee Brewers in the 2011 Area Code Games … Named first-team All-Trinity League and second-team All-Orange County as a junior at Servite high school, and was also named his club’s most valuable pitcher with a 1.40 ERA … As a sophomore received Trinity League honorable mention accolades, and was named Servite’s most improved played.

SUMMER 2010
Played for the Virginia Canes, winning the 16U Perfect Game WWBA Championship, and was selected most valuable pitcher at the tournament … Drafted in the 2012 MLB Draft in the 29th round (895 overall) by the Toronto Blue Jays.

Born in La Habra, Calif…. Son of Chris and Sandy Irvin … Has one brother, Dale … His grandfather, Roy Irvin, played basketball at USC from 1952-54.
