FRESNO, Calif. -- KC Serna had three hits, J.J. Altobelli tripled and scored three runs and Alex Keudell picked up his second victory on the mound this week to lead the University of Oregon to an 8-3 win Sunday, sending the Ducks to a four-game series sweep of the host Bulldogs at Beiden Field.

Keudell improved to 3-0 on the season, allowing two runs - one earned - in 6 1/3 innings of work. He struck out four and walked no one, leading upstart Oregon (9-5) to its eighth road victory in 12 games away from home this season.

The Ducks fell behind for the first time in the series when Danny Muno doubled to lead off the bottom of the first and came home on a run-scoring single by Bobby Coyle.

Oregon evened the score with a run in the top of the third. Eddie Rodriguez reached on an error, moved to third on a base hit by Serna and came home on a ground ball by Danny Pulfer.

The Bulldogs (5-6) retook the lead in the bottom of the inning with Muno and Coyle combining again, but UO pulled that run back in the top of the fourth on an RBI single from Rodriguez.

The Ducks went on top for the first time with a single run in the sixth and never looked back. Altobelli doubled in a run in the seventh and scored on Serna's third hit of the day for a 5-2 lead.

A two-run homer from Marcus Piazzisi in the eighth extended the Oregon advantage to 7-2, and Altobelli led off the ninth with a triple and came home on a single by Curtis Raulinaitis for UO's final run.

Madison Boer was outstanding in relief of Keudell, allowing an unearned run in 2 2/3 innings of work. Boer gave up two hits while striking out five.

Poor defense plagued the Bulldogs throughout the series and Sunday's finale was no different. The home team committed five more errors, leading to three unearned runs. Those miscues overshadowed the fact that Fresno State equalled a school record by turning five double plays in the game.

Southpaw Josh Poytress (1-1) started and took the loss, going 6 1/3 innings and allowing four runs on six hits. Only two of the runs allowed by Poytress were earned.

Oregon begins a nine-game homestand on Friday at PK Park, starting with Seattle University.
