EUGENE, Ore. -- The University of Oregon baseball team starts fall workouts on Tuesday and will ramp up its offseason training schedule by hosting the Ducks' annual alumni game at PK Park on Friday, Sept. 14, at 2 p.m.

Admission is free, and for the first time since the program's return to the diamond in 2009, the setup will feature a true competitive game. Friday's contest will end at 5:30 p.m. so that fans who are interested may attend Oregon's women's soccer match vs. Seattle at adjacent Pape Field at 6 p.m.

The list of alumni expected to be on hand includes former Ducks Vernell Warren, Shawn Peterson, Mitch Karraker, Scott McGough, Kevin Shepherd, Ryan Fleckenstein, Kenny Bartz, Alex Keudell, Antony Kreitz, Brett Hambright, KC Serna, Curtis Raulinaitis, Dylan Gavin, Erik Bonn, Geoff Nichols, Jett Hart, Joey Housey and Josh Hogan.

Fifth-year head coach George Horton returns a veteran squad from last year's team, which advanced to the NCAA Division I Baseball Super Regionals.
