Ducks Baseball Recruiting Class Ranks In Top 10

EUGENE, Ore. – The University of Oregon landed the ninth best baseball recruiting class in 2013 according to Collegiate Baseball newspaper’s annual evaluation of NCAA Division I baseball classes.

The Ducks class features 10 freshmen, including two who were picked in the 2013 Major League Baseball Draft. Left-handed pitcher Matt Krook, the 35th overall pick in the MLB Draft, highlights the class while infielder Mark Karaviotis was a 39th round pick. Right-handed pitcher/infielder Stephen Nogosek and Zach Aukes both were members of the USA 16U Team, while outfielder Austin Grebeck, infielder Jerry Houston, right-handed pitcher Trent Paddon and utility player Jack Kruger all claimed all-region honors.
