EUGENE – The Oregon acrobatics and tumbling program is giving fans an early preview of its 2010-11 team this weekend.
The Ducks are hosting the Oregon All-State Exhibition on Saturday, bringing in high school programs from across the state to showcase the new format. The event will take place at Springfield High School and starts at approximately noon.
“This weekend is a great opportunity to get our freshmen competing in front of a crowd for the first time,” head coach Felecia Mulkey said. “It’s also a chance for us to show the opportunities that exist for high school athletes from across the state at the collegiate level here at Oregon.”
Saturday’s exhibition starts with the Ducks showcasing their talented 2010-11 squad, which earned a preseason No. 2 ranking in the National Collegiate Acrobatics and Tumbling Association’s preseason coaches’ poll.
Oregon begins its regular season against Baylor on Jan. 23.
