Katie Harbert began working in the University of Oregon Athletic Department in 2007. As the Coordinator of Student-Athlete Development, she is responsible for the day-to-day implementation of the CHAMPS/Life Skills program. This includes individual career counseling and career-related workshops and programs for student-athletes as well as planning and implementing personal development programming. Katie also advises and coordinates O Heroes, the student-athlete nonprofit organization for community service and SAAC, the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.  Additionally, she co-teaches Issues in Intercollegiate Athletics, a class aimed at easing the transition to college for freshmen student-athletes, and the Leadership Institute, a week-long leadership course for student-athletes.  

Katie is originally from Eugene, OR and graduated with a BA in Psychology from Pacific Lutheran University and a Masters in Education from Springfield College. She is married to W.C. Harbert.
