Blog Spot with Kaitlin Pasko
Release Date: 03/15/2010
Hello everyone! Sorry I didn’t have an entry last week! It was week ten and normally it is “dead week,” but I had all my finals and papers due so it was a very busy time and I did not get my blog in, so apologizes to everyone!...Anyways, to catch everyone up, last Saturday we played Louisville who is another top-20 team. They came to Eugene to play us at 3 o’clock. We unfortunately lost 13-10 which put us at 2-3 for the season. Sunday we had the day off to recover and then had film at 7 a.m. Monday morning. Our coaches gave us Tuesday off as well because so many people had finals and papers to focus on, but we were back at it on Wednesday morning at 6 a.m. We practiced Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and then had another game Saturday at 1 o’clock against Iona. We had our normal pregame breakfast, this week at the Glenwood, which was very good. We then headed over to the Casanova Center at about 10:30 in the morning for the game. I unfortunately was not able to play this week due to an injury so I spent most of the time prior to the game doing treatment to try and get better as soon as possible. This week we won our game against Iona 15-11, which puts us at 3-3 for the season. After the game we held a short clinic for any kids in the area who were interested in learning how to play lacrosse and getting helpful tips. After the clinic most of us went home to study for finals coming up this week. Today, Monday, we had an hour-long practice and tomorrow we are just lifting. Then Wednesday we will be back at it again and getting ready for our game on Saturday again Cincinnati. Then Sunday we leave for spring break and will be playing all over the east coast for ten days. I'll be sure to let you know how it goes!
