Members of O Heroes surprised the bowlers of the Eugene/Springfield Special Olympics team at the final practice before the Special Olympics end of the year competition this Sunday in Bend. Eight of Oregon’s teams were represented at the event, where they paired up with Special Olympians of all ages for a fun afternoon of friendly competition. “This event was a great example of how the O Heroes program can positively impact the Eugene/Springfield community. The partnership is a PAC-10 initiative that we are proud to uphold. Plus, Oregon athletes aren’t accustomed to losing like they lost at bowling today.”   Said O Heroes coordinator, Matt Geschke, after the event.
