Each month O Heroes sits down with one male student-athlete and one female student-athlete to get to know them better off the field. November’s Female O Hero of the Month is Courtney Ceo, a senior for the defending Pac-12 champion softball team.

A native of Meadow Vista, Calif., Courtney’s standout junior season last spring included all-Pacific Region, all-Pac-12, academic all-Pac 12, and NCAA Eugene Regional Tournament honors.

She is majoring in general social sciences with a focus in economics. After graduating in the spring, she plans to attend graduate school as she finishes her softball career this year. Her commitment and dedication transcends the softball field and the classroom into the community.

Most recently, Courtney volunteered at the Boys & Girls Club of Emerald Valley Fall Festival in early November, where student-athletes competed alongside children in “O”lympics events and participated in carnival games, raffles, and vendor booths.

She hopes to continue her involvement with the Boys & Girls Clubs organization after her collegiate career, in addition to food drives and environmental activities – encompassing her love for the outdoors and volunteering in true O Heroes fashion.
