Welcome to my new home for news, analysis and commentary on the world of Oregon athletics.
In my new role as editor of GoDucks.com, I'll be your point man for information on everything about the Ducks. My focus in the fall will be football, and in the winter will shift to men's basketball.
But I'll also make sure you're in the loop about major developments with the department's other sports, whether it's a program-defining win for the men's tennis team or another national title for acrobatics and tumbling.
The front page of GoDucks.com will remain the primary resource for game results, breaking news and feature stories from all the UO programs. This blog will be the home for news, notes and links, to make sure you're wired in to everything taking place in and around the Oregon athletic facilities.
I'm in the process of meeting with all the department's coaches about this new position, and the window onto their teams it can provide. I remain a "news" guy, not a PR or marketing person, but my position inside the department will yield new and different access than I've had before.
Among the feedback I've heard from fans already is that the design of our website should be addressed, and that will happen in the coming weeks and months. My focus will remain on content rather than presentation, but trust that concerns and criticisms will be heard, and responded to the best we're able.
I've already got a few irons in the fire as far as stories go. So set a bookmark for this page, watch for links on Twitter and social media, and come along for the ride as I take an inside look at Oregon athletics.
