Along with Saturday night's football game against Washington State, several other Oregon teams are in action over the next few days.
First off, in case you missed it, men's basketball Pac-12 media day was held this morning in San Francisco, and the Ducks were picked to finish fourth in the conference this season.
The women's soccer team kicks it off tonight at Washington, a game to be televised by Pac-12 Networks at 7 p.m. The Ducks are coming off their first conference win of the season, and tonight's match sets up as a close battle based on season statistics to this point.
On Friday, the men's tennis team begins competition at the ITA Northwest Regionals, hosted by Saint Mary's. Oregon enjoyed a successful season debut at UC Davis a couple weeks back, and is looking to sustain momentum. And the women's team kicks off its season with a tournament hosted by Stanford.
Also Friday, the baseball team will host an alumni game at PK Park, starting at 3:15 p.m. The alumni game is timed to coincide with homecoming festivities around campus.
And Friday night, the UO volleyball team kicks off a homestand against Colorado in Matthew Knight Arena at 7 p.m., followed by a visit from Utah on Sunday afternoon. The noon match against the Utes is on Pac-12 Networks. The volleyball team is 2-1 since an injury to setter Lauren Plum, with Shellsy Ashen have stepped up to fill the void.Come Saturday, the cross country teams will compete in Pre-Nationals, a chance to run the course on which the NCAA Championships will be held in November. And the lacrosse team will play a fall tournament at George Mason.
