A 2010 graduate of Crespi Carmelite High School in Encino, Calif.… A two-way player, manned first base and also pitched for head coach Scott Muckey … Named Daily News second-team All-Area as a senior … Led the Celts to the Mission League championship, and named second-team All-Mission League … The No. 55 recruit in the state of California according to PerfectGame CrossChecker entering senior year ... Played for the Milwaukee Brewers Gray Area Code team during the 2009 Area Code Games from Aug. 5-10, in Long Beach, Calif., along with two other Oregon teammates, Brando Tessar and Brandon Brennan … The CIF Southern Section Division II Player of the Year as a junior, while also being named the Daily News Player of the Year as well as the Mission League MVP… A Cal-Hi Sports first-team all-state selection … As a junior went 11-0 on the mound with a 1.81 ERA and 101 strikeouts in 81 innings … Batted .468 with three home runs and 25 RBI … Helping lead Crespi to the Southern Section Division II championship, pitching a complete game while hitting a home run and a two-run single in an 8-1 victory over Huntington Beach high school.
