Yard Lines on the Horizon
Friday, March 27, 4:00 p.m. PT

To be honest, there isn't a whole lot I can offer today from a blog standpoint. One could argue that's always the case. But with spring practices set to begin next week, it seemed like an appropriate time to get back in the habit of snapping amateur photos and posting nuggets of Oregon football information on a somewhat regular basis. So, here we go...

The Ducks spring schedule will consist of 15 organized practices, starting Tuesday, March 31, and culminating on Saturday, May 2, with the annual Spring Game. The team was initially going to hold its first practice on Monday, but the coaching staff figured the first day of classes for the spring quarter would be enough for players to deal with that day. Workouts will typically be held Monday, Wednesday and Friday, each week, and go from 8:45 to 10:50 a.m.

Oregon's grass practice fields are being prepped for the start of spring drills next week.

Weather permitting, most of the practices will be held on the grass practice fields. Those sessions, and any in Autzen Stadium, will be open to the public. Due to space limitations and safety concerns, I'd discourage fans from attending practices when they are held inside the Moshofsky Center.

SEASON OPENER AT BOISE STATE
Contrary to several media reports today, Oregon's season opener at Boise State has not been officially moved from Saturday, Sept. 5, to Thursday, Sept. 3. Could it happen? Absolutely. Will it happen? Personally, I hope so, but it is not set in stone at this point. Keep your browser pointed at GoDucks.com and we'll let you know of any changes as they become official.
