2011 — Missed the entire season after suffering an injury in preseason camp … Cleared 25 inches in the vertical leap to rank third among tight ends and long snappers … Also finished second in the fly 30 (3.13 seconds) during winter conditioning.

BEFORE OREGON — A two-way player for head coach Marty Johnson at Sheldon High School of the 6A Southwest League… Tacoma News Tribune Western 100 selection… Named 6A first-team all-state on offense as a tight end… A PrepStar Magazine All-American… 2010 Long Beach Press-Telegram “Best in the West” honorable mention… Helped lead the Irish to a 14-0 record as a senior and No. 1 overall ranking in the state of Oregon… Sheldon defeated Jesuit 50-43 in the 6A state championship game, where he had team-highs in catches (six) and yards (102)… Had 44 catches for 773 yards and 12 touchdowns from his tight end position as a senior… Scored at least one touchdown in every game as a senior except one (against Lake Oswego, 11/27/09)… Also tallied 63 tackles, one sack and three pass deflections on defense… Had a team-high 61 catches for 684 yards and six scores as a junior and 25 receptions for 365 yards and five touchdowns as a sophomore… A five-star and No. 36 prospect at any position in the country as well as the No. 5 defensive end in the nation by Scout.com… A four-star recruit and No. 3 tight end by Rivals.com… Compared by Rivals to NFL TE Greg Olsen… A member of the Rivals100… A four-star prospect and No. 4 tight end by ESPN.com… Ranked as the No. 24 player at any position in the country by Tom Lemming at MaxPreps.com.
