EUGENE - The collegiate playing career of Oregon sophomore tight end Curtis White will come to a end before it really got started as the former Sheldon High School standout has been forced to step away from the game due to an assortment of injuries.

The 2009 Eugene high school All-American sat out the majority of his first two years at Oregon while recovering from injuries before medical opinions determined his return would be unlikely.

White will remain on scholarship to complete his undergraduate degree at the University of Oregon.
