Huff set the UO single-season record with 1,140 receiving yards in 2013, and tied the record of 12 touchdowns. That included his unforgettable game-winner in the Civil War.
"Obviously I know him extremely well," Kelly said at a press conference for local media simulcast on the Eagles' web site. "Outstanding young man ... great position versatilty for us."
Philadelphia's current roster includes five other players from Oregon, all of whom played under Kelly during this four-year tenure as UO head coach (2009-12). They include defensive end Brandon Bair, linebacker Josh Kaddu, receiver Jeff Maehl, linebacker Casey Matthews and receiver Will Murphy.
Huff was the No. 22 pick of the third round. Along with being a sure-handed receiver, he brings a tenacity to blocking that Kelly values in his spread offense.
"He's not averse to contact," Kelly said. "He's going to get after people."
