2009 — Returned to action at UCLA after missing the first five games of the season with a pre-season shoulder ailment . . . Despite still looking for his first reception of the year, made an impact by blocking a punt that rolled into the end zone for an Oregon touchdown in Seattle . . . Credited with a second punt deflection against Arizona State.
The former walk-on letterman created a presence from the line of scrimmage while maintaining his place on special teams … Entered double-digits in snaps taken in 11 of 13 games, led by 32 plays against Utah State … Both of his catches came against the Aggies, with one of them good for his first career touchdown … Development was stymied in the spring due to injuries, which limited his repetitions … Earned honorable mention academic all-conference plaudits.
2007 — The sure-handed reserve played a big role in bolstering the Ducks’ receiving corps as well as becoming a special teams stalwart … Playing in all 13 games, caught two passes for 17 yards against Washington State … Took part in 22 plays against both Houston and UCLA, as well as 20 snaps at Stanford … Recovered an on-sides kick and earned team’s special teams player of the week for his play at Washington.
2006 — Worked his way onto the field for nine games, finishing the year with one catch for 9 yards at Arizona State and one for 4 yards vs. Arizona … Added three tackles on special teams, all coming against Portland State … Made appearances in seven of team’s last eight games, including 33 snaps against the Vikings and 20 the following week vs. Washington … Also earned offensive scout team player-of-the-week honors for aiding preparations in the opening win over Stanford.
2005 — Made the most of his redshirt year, earning scout team kudos prior to the Arizona State, Arizona and Oregon State games.
HIGH SCHOOL — The first-team all-Narrows League kicker captained the High Climbers’ football, basketball and soccer teams his senior year, assisting former squad to regular-season league title with a 9-1 mark … The all-area choice also was awarded first-team all-league soccer honors his senior year while being named team MVP … Shelton HS’s 2004-05 athlete of the year and Narrows League fall scholar-athlete award nominee also was given the league’s sportsmanship award.
