Where are the Oregon Duck Camps held?
All Oregon Volleyball Camps are held at the new Matthew Knight Arena which is home to Oregon Volleyball. 

Can I move to a different group during camp or stay with my friend?
We try to evaluate as best we can, but we do want the camper to have great experience so if you are unhappy about your placement please speak to a staff member during camp time. 

Who are the coaches at the Oregon Volleyball Camps?
University of Oregon head coach Jim Moore and UO assistant coaches Stacy Metro, Matt Ulmer and Matt Hartner oversee the Oregon Duck Volleyball Camps and are actively involved in the day-to-day training of the campers. In addition, the Oregon Duck Volleyball Camp is committed to bringing in some of the finest high school and club coaches in the country. Campers and parents of campers are encouraged to click on the "Staff" link periodically to see which coaches have signed-on for this summer's camps

How do I get in touch with my child at overnight camp? Can I leave a message for my child while he/she is at camp?
You can leave a message for your camper on the camp office phone which is 541.346.4459.  For after hour calls there will be a 24 hour number provided at check in.

Will my child need bed linens and toiletries?
A pillow and bed linens are provided by Conference & Catering which runs the dormitories at UO.  Each camper will need to bring their own toiletries and towels.

Will my child be supervised in the dorm?
Yes! Every camper will be assigned to a counselor during camp. While in the dorms each floor will have a camp counselor on it.  Note that campers are separated by gender. Non-staff adults will NOT be allowed on floors outside of check-in and check-out.

What about roommate requests?
The camp welcomes roommate requests and will attempt to accommodate the requests, but does not guarantee them. Roommate requests must correspond to each other. Rooming assignments are done one week prior to the start of a session. It is recommended that roommates send in their applications at the same time but it is not absolute. Don't wait too long, as your session may close.

Is there a penalty for a lost room key during camp?
There is a $30 fee for a lost room key.

How much spending money should I send with my camper?
The only money that campers will need is for snacks. We recommend campers bring no more than $25-30. Although meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) are covered through registration fees, most campers want a snack after the evening session. Note that there will not be a camp bank. Campers will be responsible for their own money.

Will there be a camp store?
No!   If you would like to purchase merchandise you must do so online or from the campus bookstore.  The Oregon Volleyball Camp will not be selling any merchandise!

Will the rooms have refrigerators?
No! Counselors will have refrigerators in their rooms for campers who require usage due to medical needs.

How many campers will there be in each dorm room?
Most rooms are designed for two campers. If your camper is attending as part of an odd-numbered group, we will do our best to allow them to room near each other, although there are no guarantees.

Will my child be matched with his/her roommate preference?
We will do everything possible to accommodate roommate preferences. Please make sure that your camper and his/her preferred roommate have written each other down on their respective registration forms.

How will the campers get from the dorm to the court?
Campers will take a short 5 minute walk from the dorm to Matthew Knight Arena.  Campers walk to all volleyball-related activities. Note that counselors and coaches walk with the campers to the court.

What are the ground transportation options?
Campers can be picked up and/or dropped off at the local train or bus station in addition to the Eugene International Airport. The fee for this service is $10 round trip. Please contact us by email at  if your child requires pick-up/drop-off services.

What is the refund policy?
for DAY CAMPS -- a full refund minus a $50 administrative fee will be returned if cancellation is received in our office by Friday June 26, 2015
for OVERNIGHT CAMPS -- a full refund minus a $50 administrative fee will be returned if cancellation is received in our office by Friday June 26, 2015
After June 27, 2015 there will be NO refunds available.

Can I pay a deposit to hold my camper's spot?
Yes!  An initial deposit of $50 will hold your camper's spot.  From there you can make payments whenever you would like.  However, full payment must be received seven days prior to the camp start date.  Otherwise, we will only accept cash, credit card, cashier's check or money order at camp registration.
