The goducks.com Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending October 14th is setter Lauren Plum from the Oregon volleyball team. Plum contributed 57 assists to help her team to a win over No. 2 Washington.
Plum became UO’s first setter to claim Honorable Mention
All-America in 2011. She was named to USA Volleyball’s Junior National Team and
A2 National Squad, as well as receiving All-Pac-12 and All-Region nods in the
same year. Additionally, in 2010 and 2011 she had two of the top seasons ever
by a Duck setter.
The junior setter from Poway High School in Poway, California is a sports marketing major.
Next up, Plum and the Oregon volleyball team have two away weekends, returning to Eugene on November 2nd to host California at 6pm at Matthew Knight Arena.
