Volleyball Watch Party to Follow Husker Hoops Game

EUGENE – Looking ahead to Saturday’s NCAA volleyball championship between Oregon and Texas, volleyball fans can share in the excitement at a free watch party at Matthew Knight Arena.

After the conclusion of the Duck men’s basketball game vs. Nebraska that starts at 1:30 p.m., volleyball fans can catch the UO-UT match-up that starts at 4 p.m. on ESPN2.

Doors open at 3:30 p.m. for the watch party on the Knightvision scoreboards, and parking will be free in the MKA garage.

The McArthur Club concessions stand will be open for the first two sets, and fans can enter the arena from the north side off Franklin Avenue.

Seeded fifth overall in the tourney, UO (30-4, 16-4) will meet #3-seeded Texas (28-4) for the fourth time in school history in Louisville's KFC Yum! Center.

The Ducks punched their ticket to the final with a 3-1 semifinal win Thursday over a top-ranked Penn State team (33-3) for the second time in as many years. UT qualified after it won 3-2 over Michigan Thursday evening, and is seeking its second-ever national title.
