Postgame Quotes

----------------------------------------------

Oregon Head Coach Dana Altman
On his overall feeling after the game…
“I think that the guys did good tonight. They weren’t quite ready at the start but they played hard and they played smart. Improvement wise, I don’t think that our ball movement was where it needed to be in the second half, but that being said the guys did great and I am very happy for them. They will get back to work tomorrow at practice because we have to get ready for Arizona State on Sunday.”

On the involvement from the crowd…
“The crowd provided a different atmosphere, especially the student section and pit crew. They really got us going. Crowds like ours are an example of why playing college basketball on the road is so tough. We definitely had the home court advantage tonight.”

On senior E.J. Singler
"I think that he is beginning to play with more confidence again. For the past couple of days the gym empties out after practice and he stays and keeps shooting. He played his tail off against OSU and he did so again tonight.”

On the rest of the season…
“We have had some big wins but I thought tonight was a good win because of the fact that Arizona is so highly ranked. But that being said, I will be really disappointed if today was our season high.”

Senior E.J. Singler
On his overall feeling after the game…
“It is pretty much an indescribable feeling. I am so happy that we fought as hard as we did and that we fought all the way until the end. We fought until we got the win.”

On the support from the fans…

“The fans were unbelievable tonight. They really showed us that support that we have at this school. The students and pit crew were on fire and I can’t begin to say how much that got us going. We are so lucky to have them.”

On goals after tonights win…
“We’ve still got some goals to accomplish. Winning the Pac-12 Championship is our largest goal and what we are working for. We just need to keep on practicing hard. I am excited to keep playing and playing hard to get our goal.”

“After the game, coach [Altman] told us that this is just the beginning. We have to get back to work tomorrow at practice, which means putting this win behind us and continuing to play hard and practice hard. We need to keep fighting and grinding.”

On the depth of their bench…
“One of our biggest strengths is how deep our bench is. I really think that when our guys came off the bench tonight they came into the game strong and that just got the rest of us fired up. Tonight was a good team win and we need to keep the energy that we had tonight going for the rest of the season.”

Junior Johnathan Loyd
On his overall emotion after the game…
“It feels good, but I keep thinking that this is just the start. I am at a loss for words.”

On how teammate E.J. Singler impacts the team…
“Every time I see E.J. [Singler] flex, I want to flex. His energy was on tonight and that got everyone going.”

On how to approach the rest of the season…
“We need to show composure. We have played big games like this before and we have been in this situation, so we knew that we could do it again.”
