Postgame Quotes

Oregon Head Coach Paul Westhead
On tonight's game...
"On the bright side, the team played much better in the second half. We have a lot of work to do to and we need to discuss why it took 20 minutes to wake up. But the second half showed we are capable of playing a lot better."

On Oregon's performance tonight...
"We stopped the offensive rebounds and our turnovers were down. Now we have to get back to scoring the basketball. The percentages we are putting up is alarming."

On poor shooting percentage for the team...
"I see some hurried shots. We missed some inside shots that we stepped away from instead of going up strong to the basket. It's hard to win if you can't shoot better than 26 percent."

Junior Danielle Love
On the game...
"I would say there is frustration, but we just didn't make shots as a team."
"We needed to be prepared to come out harder and play a whole game, not just one half."

On playing hard in the second half...
"The second half did give us more confidence to play them again on Sunday, we are excited. We know more what they'll do so we'll be more relaxed."

On the team morale...
"We feel like we're having a little difficulty, but we just need to stick together as a team and motivate and push each other."

Sophomore Liz Brenner
On becoming more comfortable in the offense...
"I definitely think I'm becoming more comfortable. I'm getting in better basketball shape and more in a basketball mode."

On the first half struggles...
"In the first half we struggled and didn't adjust to them blocking our shots, but in the second half we adjusted and made better shots."

On playing Oregon State again Sunday...
"I think the second half boosted our confidence because we fought hard and battled back."
