One More for the Show...
Release Date: 03/31/2011
When the Ducks take the floor Friday night with Creighton at MKA, there will be just 4 other college basketball teams still playing, including last year's CBI Champion VCU. While certainly Dana Altman and his team will point toward that other tournament as the ultimate goal, the fact that they are still playing is a remarkable testament to the work Coach Altman and his staff have done, and the commitment by the players to bring life to the program and the new arena. There is plenty to be proud of and to appreciate, and a significant level of excitement for the future as the program continues to trend upward.
Friday is the night to show that appreciation - on both sides. In thanks to the community for a spectacular first year at Matthew Knight Arena, a new ticket option for the game has been introduced. To go along with the reserved $23 and $18 dollar tickets, a new $10 seat is now available to give all fans the chance to see the Ducks play one final game this year , and Joevan Catron in his final Duck appearance. In addition, several prize packs will be randomly handed out at the game , and any fan who has bought a ticket for each of the CBI games through their accounts or online is automatically entered to win a $500 shopping spree at goducks.com at our official team store. Tickets are easily available on goducks.com, and can be purchased and printed right at home or at the office, as thousands of fans have done throughout the tournament.
For those who do not live in the region and can't be there to show their support for this team and their tremendous effort on Friday night, the game will once again be live on HD Net. Any fan watching these broadcasts should be impressed by the high level of quality HD Net has brought to the productions and MKA has looked fantastic in HD across the country. Added to that -according to TNS Media Research of set top box data in major markets- HD Net has the dominant share of the high definition viewing audience on Friday nights.
The real-time data captured by TNS, shows HD Net excels in prime time on Friday nights - beating other HD networks such as HBO HD, Discovery HD and ESPN HD. HD Net's Friday numbers also beat standard definition networks including SPEED, Style, and IFC.
