Fastbreak: Ducks Receive A Grade For 2010-11 Season
Wednesday, April 13, 8:45 p.m.
Head coach Dana Altman and the 2010-11 Oregon Ducks continue to receive good reviews for their performance last season. Oregon, which registered wins in six of its last eight games, finished with a 20-18 overall record en route to a CBI championship.
ESPN's Doug Gottlieb, who has been handing out end of season team-by-team report cards for 2010-11, gave Oregon an A for this past year. No other Pac-10 school graded out that high, with Arizona receiving the second-highest with an A-.
In his Oregon capsule, Gottlieb writes: They won a low-level postseason tourney (the CBI), and were ultra-competitive during the season despite losing six players when Dana Altman got the job. Joevan Catron really came into his own after losing weight and finding his role within their offense.
