Ducks Taking Registration for 2011 Summer Camps
Release Date: 05/16/2011
Head coach Dana Altman and his entire coaching staff will be involved in all aspects of the camp. Altman, in his second year with UO, has played host to basketball campers for the last 17 years.
Both camps will be held at Matthew Knight Arena, one of the nation’s premiere college basketball facilities. In addition, the 2011 camps mark the first time in 15 years that participants can stay overnight in UO dormitories.
The Oregon Individual Camp, scheduled for June 19-22, is for boys ages 8-17 and is offered for both a Day Camper and Overnight Camper. Day Camper tuition is $270 per person ($175 deposit required). Overnight Camper tuition is $380 ($175 deposit required), with those participants staying in the residence halls on campus.
All individual campers will receive instruction from the UO men's basketball coaching staff, play games at Matthew Knight Arena, and receive a camp T-shirt, photo and ball to take home. Early and late camp supervision is available for individual campers that have working parents.
The Oregon Team Camp, scheduled for June 24-26, is one of the most popular team camps in the Pacific Northwest. It features a minimum of seven games played indoors at Matt Arena, all games played will feature two OSAA officials, and each participant will receive a NIKE Team Camp Shirt. Each team must make a non-refundable $500 deposit to reserve a space in this year's camp. The deposit will be applied to the balance due at the time of check-in.
