The Ducks’ 2011-12 schedule features 18 regular-season games at Matt Arena, the first full season at UO’s sparkling new facility. Of those home opponents, seven competed in postseason play a year ago.
The first exhibition game is scheduled for Nov. 2 against Grand Canyon State. UO’s first regular-season home game is set for Nov. 17 against Eastern Washington.
Home games highlighted in the non-conference portion of the schedule include: UTEP (Nov. 29), Fresno State (Dec. 10), Portland State (Dec. 12) and Virginia (Dec.18).
The inaugural Pac-12 Conference home schedule includes contests against: Stanford (Jan. 5), California (Jan. 8), USC (Jan. 19), UCLA (Jan. 21), Oregon State (Jan. 29), Washington (Feb. 9), Washington State (Feb. 11), Colorado (March 1) and Utah (March 3).
There are also six different mini-plans to choose from for fans wanting a convenient and flexible option to watch games.
This three-game plan is made up of weekend games against California (Jan. 8), UCLA (Jan. 21) and Washington State (Feb. 11). The Cal Golden Bears return four starters from an up-and-coming team that reached the second round of last year's Postseason National Invitation Tournament. Tradition-rich UCLA enters the season ranked in the top 25 in all of the notable preseason publications. In addition, Northwest rival WSU rolls through town in mid-February for what should be a pivotal league game.
As part of this three-game plan, Duck fans gain access to home games against Oregon State (Jan. 29), Washington (Feb. 9) and Utah (March 3). The Civil War presented by Pacific Source & your Northwest Ford Dealers is one of the toughest tickets to secure year in and year out. The Huskies, who lost at Matt Arena last season, enter the 2011-12 campaign as one of the conference’s front-runners. And the Utes, making their inaugural trip to Eugene as a Pac-12 foe, will close out the regular-season schedule on the Ducks’ Senior Day.
