WALNUT CREEK, Calif. – Oregon’s Amanda Johnson was named Bank of the West Pac-12 Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 14-20, Commissioner Larry Scott announced today.

Averaging 30.5 points and 15.0 rebounds per game, Johnson led Oregon (3-0) to wins over Illinois, 77-74, and Portland State, 75-71, last week. The Santa, Rosa, Calif., native recorded two double-doubles, and has now posted four consecutive double-doubles dating back to last season.

In Friday’s victory over Illinois, Johnson scored 20 first-half points en route to a game-high 31-point effort. Currently a candidate for the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award, Johnson added 11 rebounds and knocked down a career-best and team-leading five three-pointers. Holding on to a slim 75-74 lead, Johnson calmly knocked down two free throws with 18 seconds remaining to ice the game for Oregon.

On Sunday, Johnson again led all scorers with 30 points, and added a career and game-high 19 rebounds as Oregon outlasted Portland State. Each time the Vikings crept back into the game, Johnson had an answer. In the final 6:46 to play as Portland State closed within three points or less on eight occasions, Johnson scored seven points and dished the assist on Jordan Loera’s three-pointer that cemented the win with five seconds left to play. Johnson had a double-double by halftime with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Last week she also shot a team-leading 54.3 percent (25-of-46) from the floor, and drained a team-best seven three-pointers.

It is Johnson’s third-career player of the week honor and Oregon’s 38th all-time.

In her career, Johnson has now scored 1,226 points, ranking 13th all-time at Oregon. She also has recorded three 30-point games, 16 20-point games, 60 double-figure scoring games and 23 double-doubles.

Johnson currently leads Oregon and the Pac-12 in both scoring (26.7 ppg) and rebounding (14.0 rpg).
