EUGENE, Ore. -- The University of Oregon women’s basketball team will continue its non-conference schedule this Thursday night with a home game against Portland State. Tip-time is scheduled for 7 p.m. (PT) at Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene.
Tickets ($3-$12) are available online at goducks.com, in-person at the Moshofsky Center Ticket Office (M-F, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.) or over the phone at 1-800-WEBFOOT. Tickets are also available at the Matthew Knight Arena Box Office (M-F, 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m.) on game days.
The ticket promotion for the UO-PSU game is BI-MART $3 Thursday. Fans that show a BI-MART card at the ticket window can receive a general admission ticket for $3.
Oregon is coming off a 78-69 home loss to Saint Mary’s in the regular-season opener for the Ducks. Prior to that, UO won both of its exhibition games, recording a 118-74 win over Southern Oregon followed by a 105-66 win over Corban. PSU recently defeated George Fox University, 55-35, in the regular season opener for the Vikings.

SEASON TICKETS AND MINI PLANS ON SALE
Season tickets and mini plans for the upcoming women’s basketball season are available for purchase online at goducks.com, in person at the Moshofsky Center ticket window or over the phone at 1-800-WEBFOOT.
Season tickets offer up to a 30 percent savings off single-game ticket prices. Adult General Admission: $99. Regular Reserved: $150. Premium Reserved: $188. Child/Senior General Admission: $68. Family Plan General Admission (2 adults and 3 children): $255.
In addition to the season tickets, there are two different mini plans for the upcoming season.
The Flex Plan offers a savings of over 16 percent. There are three different Flex Plan options for fans to choose from. Tier 1: Pick one game between Oregon State or Connecticut. Tier 2: Pick any 2 games from the Pac-12 Conference opponents, excluding Oregon State. Tier 3: Pick any 2 games from our non-conference opponents, excluding Connecticut.
The Weekend Plan consists of all eight weekend home games and is only $76 which is a savings of over 17 percent. The games this year include: Saint Mary’s, Denver, Nevada, Fresno State, USC, California, Washington State, and Utah.
UP NEXT FOR THE DUCKS
UO will travel to Hawai’i to play three games at the Rainbow Wahine Showdown Nov. 23-25 in Honolulu. The Ducks will face host team Hawai’i, Oklahoma and Arkansas at the non-conference tournament.
AUTOGRAPH SIGNING TO TAKE PLACE BEFORE UO-STANFORD FOOTBALL GAME
The Oregon women’s basketball team will be signing autographs at the Moshofsky Center from 3-4 p.m. prior to the start this Saturday’s Oregon-Stanford football game. It is an opportunity for fans to pick up their 2012-13 Oregon women’s basketball team poster. The football game is scheduled to kick-off at 5 p.m.
OREGON DROPS REGULAR SEASON OPENER TO GAELS
Oregon lost to Saint Mary’s, 78-69, last Sunday afternoon at Matt Arena in Eugene. The Ducks were led offensively by junior Danielle Love who tallied a team-best 13 points. Sophomores Jordan Loera and Lexi Petersen each had 11 points. Freshman Jillian Alleyne contributed nine points and a team-best 10 rebounds.
Oregon registered 19 assists to 26 made baskets, with senior Laura Stanulis dishing out a team-high eight assists. Stanulis also led the team in steals with four.
Oregon struggled from the floor making just 30.6 percent (26-of-85) of its field goal attempts. The Ducks were 13-of-45 (28.9 percent) on 3-pointers.
Saint Mary’s shot 40.3 percent (27-of-67) overall from the field, including 46.9 percent (15-of-32) in the first half. SMC jumped out to a 41-32 halftime lead. The second half was played even, 37-37, with the Gaels’ nine-point first-half lead being the difference.
OREGON DOMINATES CORBAN IN FINAL EXHIBITION GAME
Oregon defeated Corban University, 105-66, last Wednesday at Matt Arena in the final exhibition game of the preseason.
Senior Laura Stanulis recorded a triple-double in the win with 15 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists. Stanulis, who had 18 assists in UO’s first exhibition, also contributed five steals in the victory.
Sophomore Lexi Petersen led the Ducks in scoring for the second consecutive game, hitting 9-of-17 from the field for 23 points. Four other Oregon players scored in double-figures. Junior Danielle Love contributed 15 points and eight rebounds. Sophomore Jordan Loera added 17 points – going 5-of-9 on 3-pointers.
Freshman Jillian Alleyne recorded her second straight double-double with 16 points and 14 rebounds (six offensive boards), to go with a team-high six steals. Sophomore Amanda Delgado came off the bench to tally 10 points.
DUCKS CRUISE IN FIRST EXHIBITION AGAINST SOUTHERN OREGON
Four Ducks recorded double-doubles in their 118-74 exhibition win over Southern Oregon on Tuesday, Oct. 30.
Senior Laura Stanulis had 18 assists to go with 10 rebounds and six points. Sophomore Megan Carpenter had 12 points and 13 rebounds, while freshman Jillian Alleyne added 14 points and 16 boards coming off the bench. Sophomore Jordan Loera had 13 points and 10 rebounds.
In all, the Ducks had six players score in double figures, led by sophomore Lexi Petersen who scored a game-high 27 points on 11-of-19 shooting from the field. Fellow sophomore Amanda Delgado came off the bench to score 22 points. Freshman Devyn Galland had 16 points in her first game at UO.
TEAM CAPTAINS NAMED FOR 2012-13
Paul Westhead named Laura Stanulis and Danielle Love the team’s captains for the upcoming season. Stanulis, from Portland, Ore., is UO’s only senior and will be the team’s pace-setter as the starting point guard. Her 3-point percentage (.429) and assist total (61) are tops for any returning UO player. Love, a forward from Everett, Wash., is one of two Ducks to start all 31 games and averaged 29.4 minutes per game a year ago.
DUCKS A THREAT FROM LONG DISTANCE
Last season, Oregon averaged 7.7 made 3-pointers per game which ranked first in the Pac-12 and ninth nationally. During Paul Westhead’s three years as head coach, UO has proved to be a deadly 3-point shooting team, ranking third in the country in 2011 (8.5 per game) and seventh in 2010 (8.4 per game). UO has led the Pac-12 in 3-pointers made per game in each of the last three seasons.
Sophomore Jordan Loera is the top returning 3-point shooter coming back for 2012-13. Loera, from Moses Lake, Wash., made a team-best 45 shots from behind the arc (45-of-133, .338) as a true freshman. Junior Danielle Love shot 39-of-127 (.307) on 3-pointers a year ago, the second-most of any returning Oregon player.

DUCKS GO UNDEFEATED ON PRESEASON FOREIGN TOUR TO SPAIN
The Ducks went 4-0 on its 2012 Spanish Foreign Tour which took place Aug. 24-Sept. 2. UO played games against professional clubs from Madrid, Girona and Barcelona. Oregon defeated a professional team from Madrid, Estudiantes, in back-to-back games to open the trip (Game 1 - W, 94-67; Game 2 - W, 84-61). UO also played games at the Torneig de Basquet Unnim tournament played just north of Barcelona, recording a 103-62 win over Uni Girona and a 70-52 win over Santa Rosa de Lima.
Sophomore Lexi Petersen averaged a team-high 17.5 points per contest on the trip, one of four Ducks to average double-figures in scoring. Freshman Jillian Alleyne (14.5 ppg, 10.8 rpg) and sophomore Megan Carpenter (13.8 ppg, 10.3 rpg) each averaged double-doubles for UO. Sophomore Amanda Delgado averaged 15.0 points per outing.
