EUGENE, Ore.- The University of Oregon women's basketball team came from behind to take care of Colorado 67-62 behind 23 second-half points from senior Amanda Johnson on Saturday afternoon at Matthew Knight Arena.

Oregon (13-10, 5-6 Pac-12) had to fight back to overcome a 34-26 halftime deficit, but it was trips to the charity stripe for the second straight game that secured the victory for the Ducks.

UO went ahead for the game on a three-pointer by Johnson at 12:18, but five times the Buffs (15-7, 4-7 Pac-12) were able to climb back into the game by cutting the Oregon lead down to less than five.

After that trey by Johnson, the Ducks unloaded on a 14-4 run culminated by another long-range three by Johnson to put Oregon up by 10 with a little over five minutes to play.

With 51seconds left and the game sitting at 60-58, the Ducks went 7-of-8 from the free throw line to close out the game. Freshman Liz Brenner had three of the makes, while senior Nia Jackson and Johnson combined for the other four makes.

Oregon opened up the second half on a 13-0 run after ending the first 20 minutes of play on a 5-0 run. The 18 consecutive Duck points turned a 34-21 deficit into a 39-34 lead. The Buffalos finally ended their nine minute scoring drought when Danielle Love fouled Chucky Jeffery, who converted two free throws at the 14:21 mark for the Buffs' first points of the half.

Johnson's 26 points were highlighted by a career-high 11-of-12 performance at the free throw line. Ariel Thomas added 13 points and Jasmin Holliday supplied the Ducks with 11 points and a career-high five blocks. Jeffery and LexyKrsel paced Colorado with 18 and 17 points, respectively.

The Ducks turned the ball over 10 times in the first 20 minutes as the Buffs took advantage to score eight points off UO's miscues.

Oregon shot 34.8 percent (8-23) from the floor in the first half, and the Ducks were held without a field goal for nearly seven minutes (12:18 - 5:26).

The Ducks are back out on the road next week traveling to Washington on Thursday and Washington State on Saturday.

The Ducks will be back at Matt Arena on Thursday, Feb. 16, welcoming California for a 7 p.m. game.
