------------------------------------

Oregon Head Coach Paul Westhead

On tonight’s game…
“Our kids played pretty hard. They played a lot of minutes and we spread them out as best as we could. On the last possession, we just didn’t get it done. Our girls gave a very good effort. They played hard and played courageously.”

On adjustments made during half time…
“We wanted to capitalize on Jill (Jillian Alleyne) being active and being effective inside. I think it worked pretty well for us.”

On Jillian Alleyne’s performance…
“Whole team played better in the second half and I think she was a big part of that. She’s an interesting kid. She likes to get the ball and just start going. It’s hard to stop that. We have to make the pace fast enough so that Jill can capitalize on that."

On playing a high-pace game while being short on players…
“Having a shrunken squad puts added pressure on them. Double overtime doesn’t help. But we’re still in the learning process. It’s game two. I think we are going to be ok with the numbers.”

Freshman Forward Jillian Alleyne
On her outstanding performance tonight…
“I had something to prove to myself. It was just me coming out hard and proving myself.”

On where to go from here…
“I have to come in with a fire. Prove myself to the team, I need to have that fire. I have a lot more to give, I haven’t reached my potential.”

Senior guard Laura Stanulis
On tonight’s game…
“We came out slow. Luckily it’s early on in the season. We can learn from this, we just need to come out harder.”

On going into double overtime…
“It’s hard, double overtime, we just have to learn from it. Tomorrow once emotions wear off, we can talk about it and learn to come out harder.”
