EUGENE, Ore. - Chrishae Rowe was named Pac-12 Freshman of the Week for the third time in five weeks, the league announced on Monday.

Rowe set the single-game school record with 41 points in Oregon's 105-100 win at Seattle U on Wednesday night.
She broke the record of 38 points held by five other Ducks - Jillian Alleyne (2012-13), Taylor Lilley (2009-10), Nicole Canepa (2009-10), Bev Smith (1980-81) and Debbie Adams (1979-80).

In just her seventh collegiate game, Rowe tallied 41 points on 14-of-25 shooting, including 6-of-8 behind the three-point line. She also went 7-of-9 at the free throw line. Her final five points were the most important, as they were part of the Ducks’ 10-2 run that broke a 90-90 tie with 5:15 remaining.

Rowe’s school record 41 points are the most by a freshman in the NCAA since Mercer’s Briana Williams scored 41 against Jacksonville on Jan. 24, 2011. The last freshman to score more than 41 points in a game was during the 2009-10 season, when both Delaware’s Elena Della Donne (54) and Oral Roberts’ Kevi Luper (44) did it.

Rowe entered the game ranked No. 2 in the Pac-12 and No. 15 in the nation, averaging 22.7 points per game. The Pac-12 single-game scoring record is 50 points while the NCAA record is 60 points.

For the season, the Santiago HS grad leads the team in scoring with 25.3 points per game and has a team-high 18 steals. She is second on the roster, averaging 7.7 rebounds per game. Rowe is shooting 41.1 percent from the field this year, while hitting threes at a 42.3 percent clip.

Rowe was rated the No. 67 recruit in the nation by ESPN HoopGurlz coming out high school, where she had two 40-point games as a senior. She also was named Southern Section IAA Player of the Year as a senior, in addition to picking up Riverside Press-Enterprise Player of the Year and Los Angeles Times All-Area Team honors.
