EUGENE, Ore. - Oregon women's basketball guard Chrishae Rowe was named Pac-12 Freshman of the Week for the fourth time this season, the league announced on Monday.
Rowe, who is second in the Pac-12 with 24.5 points per game, scored a game-high 28 points on 10-of-21 shooting, with seven rebounds and a career-high five assists in Sunday's 96-61 win over Cal State Northridge. She also tallied a block and three steals. Rowe sank three 3-pointers and went 5-of-6 at the free throw line.
Rowe is also second in the league in steals, at 2.8 per game.
The true freshman leads the Ducks in scoring and steals and is second in rebounding (7.5), three-point field goal percentage (40.4) and minutes played (28.3).
Rowe has scored 24+ points in four of the Ducks' last five games, including a school record 41 against Seattle U on Dec. 4.
Her scoring has helped the Ducks to a seven-game winning streak, the largest under head coach Paul Westhead and the longest since the 2005-06 season.
Oregon sports the fourth best record in the league as Pac-12 play begins this weekend. At 9-2, only Stanford (11-1), Arizona State (10-1) and Colorado (10-1) have more wins than the Ducks thus far.
Oregon visits No. 4 Stanford at 6 p.m. on Friday and No. 23 Cal at noon on Sunday. Both games will be broadcast on the Pac-12 Networks.
