EUGENE, Ore.—The University of Oregon women’s golf team is set to compete in the Juli Inkster Spartan Invitational in San Jose, Calif. on March 4-5. The two-day, three-round event will take place at the Almaden Golf and Country Club with a starting tee time of 12:45 p.m.
The Ducks finished in second place at the Invitational last season after shooting seven-over 295 on the final day of the event to move up two spots. Cassy Isagawa (69-76-72-217) led three Oregon players finishing in the top ten, joined by Ashley Edwards (71-76-74-222) and Cali Hipp (75-73-74-222).
This year, head coach Ria Scott’s lineup includes sophomores Isagawa, Hipp and Petchakan, and seniors Cheyenne Burbank and Avery Sills. Isagawa is currently ranked No. 35 in the country by GolfStat.com.
Joining the Ducks in San Jose will be No. 41 California, No. 9 Washington, No. 13 UC Davis, No. 17 NC State, Kansas State, No. 14 Stanford, Idaho, Colorado State, Santa Clara, Fresno State and UC Irvine.
