EUGENE, Ore. – Christian Brennan capped the week of IAAF World Junior Championship competition, Sunday, as a member of the Canadian 4x400 relay team which set a national junior record.
Brennan ran the third leg, passing off the baton in fourth place which is where the team finished with a time of 3:33.17.
The race wrapped up a historic weekend for Historic Hayward Field and USA Track and Field, as the week-long event marked the first time the World Junior Championships were contested on American soil. Fans came out in droves to record a total-meet attendance of 51,532.
Team USA finished with the most medals, totaling 21, five more than second-place Kenya. Of those 21 medals, 11 were gold.
