2014 Oregon Track and Field Camp
Sunday June 29th - Thursday July 3rd
The 2014 NCAA Indoor Men's and Women's and 7-time Pac-12 Champion Men's and the 5-time Pac-12 Champion Women's track and field teams continue the modern Oregon dominance seldom seen in the powerhouse Pac-12 Conference or the NCAA.
Our 2014 track and field camp teaches all aspects of how to be at your best for all of the various track and field events. Instruction will include training techniques, nutrition, Plyometrics and competition strategies. Sessions are staged in small groups by event area to encourage personal attention and plenty of feedback for all ages and ability levels. Campers will be divided into training groups based on event area (distance, sprints, etc.) and will be coached by the entire Oregon Track and Field staff along with a group of counselors made up of current and former student athletes.
Guest speakers will address several relevant topics as they relate to the sport of track and field and cross country. Topics include sport nutrition, strength and conditioning, sport psychology and the college admissions process. An interactive session will include a panel of current and former student-athletes who will answer questions and provide insight into the unique experience of being a college athlete.
Join in this fun, yet challenging environment around others who want to learn more about the sport they love - in the place that loves it most: Historic Hayward Field and TrackTown USA - Eugene, Oregon.
*Please note that the traditional distance-only camp is being integrated into the track and field camp this year due to the many events occuring on campus and at Hayward Field this summer*
The Oregon Track & Field Camp is open to boys & girls ages 14-19 who have not yet started University/College. All event areas will be covered from the sprints, hurdles, relays, distances, jumps, throws and pole vault. There will be opportunities to train in multiple areas if desired.
