Walker's Pace: Poll Shake Up Drops Ducks from Top

Tuesday, April 24, 2012

Big changes in both polls find Oregon dropping to No. 5 for the women and No. 22 for the men in this week's USTFCCCA poll.

The shake up was due to the fact that only 2012 performances are now considered; previously, marks from 2011 were also factored in. That meant that Clemson rose to the top of the women's poll for the first time. The Tigers were followed by Louisiana State, Texas, Florida and Oregon. The Ducks has been No. 1 all season.

Other Pac-12 teams in the women's poll included No. 8 Arizona, No. 10 Arizona State, No. 20 Stanford and No. 24 USC.

In the men's poll, the top five was Texas A&M, Florida, Arizona State, LSU, Florida State.

Other Pac-12 schools in the rankings were No. 6 USC, No. 13 Arizona and No. 18 Stanford.

Oregon will host the inagural Pac-12 Championships May 12-13 at Historic Hayward Field.
