Returning for his sixth season with the Duck volleyball program in 2012, Joe Skinner oversees all of the team's video needs, and also assists in managing many of its information systems.

In his first season as a full-time member of the staff, he served as a full-time intern in 2011-12 and team manager for the four prior seasons. He has been been involved in all facets of the program, including key roles coordinating the team's summer camps and on-campus recruiting.

Away from the college scene, he also coaches the Oregon Volleyball Club U14 team, and the team tied for third in its division in the Columbia Empire Power League (CEVA) Regional in 2012.

He graduated from Oregon in 2011 with a bachelor of science degree in journalism with an emphasis in electronic media.

His professional resume also includes internships for KMTR-16, the local NBC-TV affiliate, and for Cumulus Radio Broadcasting and KWVA Sports. He has also shot video for and edited packages for various collegiate events such as Oregon baseball games, and the 2005 NCAA Track and Field Championships for the Sacramento Bee newspaper.

As a prep, the the 2005 Granite Bay High School graduate was a two-year soccer starter, and an all-league first-team and team captain as a senior. That squad won the league with an undefeated record and ranked 17th nationally, while his club team finished second in the 2005 NOMADS College Showcase.

The versatile athlete also played prep volleyball two years and for the Sacramento Volleyball Club (2003-05), and lettered in basketball for GBHS.

As a freshman, he attended Jesuit High School and played basketball, soccer and volleyball.
