Mike Roberts is in his first season with the Ducks as a volunteer assistant coach.
He will assist head coach Mike White in working with the pitching staff. He served a similar role at UW-Green Bay.
Before his coaching career, Roberts had a long and accomplished history as a pitcher.
Roberts' accolades include two ASA national titles, an ISF Junior World Title, eight New Zealand national titles, a NAFA Triple-A North American title and an Australian State title.
In addition, Roberts has pitched in 13 ISC world club tournaments and was a member of the ISF Samoan men's national team. Roberts was a two-time ASA All-American and a NAFA All-American. Roberts has multiple American and New Zealand MVP pitching awards including the New Zealand Herald Junior Sports Award which is awarded to the top five junior prospects in New Zealand Sport.
Before going to UW-Green Bay, Roberts was the head coach at Denmark (Wisc.) High School for three years, compiling at 51-19 record. Roberts was also the head pitching instructor at In The Zone academy for four years, helping numerous pitchers win high school state titles, ASA state titles, NSA state titles and conference player of the year awards.
An Auckland, New Zealand native, Roberts and his wife, Therese, have two children, Lauren and Mitchell.
