• One of team’s hardest-working and most respected players, is one two catchers with collegiate experience on the squad in 2012.

• Joined team in fall of 2008, and sports one of the top GPA's of all Duck student-athletes (3.66 in spring of 2011).

• As a prep, helped Lathrop High School team (Fairbanks, Alaska) to a pair of top-three state finishes, while her Alaska Northstars club team was the state runner-up in '08.

 

2011 SEASON (Junior)
Made appearances in career-high eight games as one of team's top pinch-runners. Scored single runs in wins over Ole Miss, Boise State and San Jose State and also vs. Cal State Fullerton. In first month of slate, stole first career bases in wins over North Texas and Boise State, and her theft in the former contest helped UO to a school stolen base record and Pac-10 team season high (8). Sported team’s highest GPA (3.66) among upperclassmen.

2010 SEASON (Sophomore)
Among her four appearances, lined her first collegiate hit vs. Idaho State and went 1-for-2 vs. the Vandals off the bench. Also had plate appearances vs. San Diego and North Dakota in first half of season.

2009 SEASON (Freshman)
Impressed coaches with her rapid development over the course of her first collegiate campaign. Saw action in two games during season, and drew walk and eventually scored in first collegiate at-bat in 14-0 win over Southern Mississippi. Also batted vs. No. 4 Washington.

Prep: One of state's top players, and was an all-state pick her sophomore and senior campaigns, and a Railbelt All-Conference pick as a junior and senior. Was honored as player of the game in three state tournaments. Helped team finish second and third in state tournament her freshman and sophomore seasons. Honored with the softball sportsmanship award her sophomore and senior seasons, and was the team captain her final two years. Selected as Wendy's Heisman state finalist her senior year, and also received Growden Award for Lathrop HS. Played club softball for Alaska Northstars and team placed second in state in 2008. Away from the softball field, added three letters in swimming and competed in the 50 freestyle and 100 backstroke. Lettered one season in tennis in doubles, and also ran cross country. In the classroom, was tabed German II student of the year, and was a finalist for Alaska's High School Science Symposium. High School (Coaches): Lathrop '08 (Shawn Sowell, Sarah Cleworth, Bryan Mitchell).

Personal: Geological Science major. Parents are John and Ramona and has one brother Kinzey and three sisters, Maria, Lauren and Ilaura. Comes from an accomplished family of former collegiate athletes - her father John was a three-year swimmer at Florida, her sister Maria swam for four years at Northwestern (Ill.), and her brother Kinzey played basketball for Saint Peters College (NJ) for four seasons. Her younger sister Ilaura plays softball for South Florida.
