Last weekend in its regular season finale, UO went 2-1 against No. 12 UCLA and took the season series from 11-time national champion for the second time in school history. Its 6-5 win in the opener ended a 15-game series losing streak, while UCLA won the second game, 7-4. The Ducks bounced back for a 5-0 win in the Senior Day finale for their ninth win in its last 12 Pac-10 games.

UO ended the season tied for third in the conference final standings and tied its second-best league finish ever. Oregon's +.500 league mark (11-10) also stood as its second ever after it went 13-7 as the Pac-10 runners-up in 1989, and first since the Pac-10 expanded to eight teams in 1993.
