Oregon Finishes in Seventh Place at the Juli Inkster Invitational

SAN JOSE, Calif.— After three rounds the University of Oregon women’s golf team finished up the Juli Inkster Spartan Invitational in seventh place. The two-day three-round tournament wrapped up Tuesday afternoon in San Jose, Calif. hosted by San Jose State University. 


The Ducks (298-304-312-914) shot 24-over 312 in the final round at the 6,223 yard, par-72 course. 


Sophomore Cassy Isagawa (76-72-73-221) had the best round for the Ducks shooting one-over 73 on Tuesday. Isagawa moved up six spots from yesterday and finished in a tie for fifth place. Cali Hipp (76-72-80-228) shot eight-over 80 and finished in a tie for 23rd place overall. 


On the individual scoreboard, Stanford’s Mariah Stackhouse (70-71-71-212) stayed in first place after yesterdays round after shooting one-under today. In second place, San Jose State’s Regina DeGuzman’s (74-72-72-218) shoot an even-par round on the day and UC Irvine’s Luciane Lee (71-74-75-220) and California’s Hannah Suh (76-69-75-220) finished in a tie for third place. 


The Ducks also counted scorecards from senior Cheyenne Burbank (71-80-80-231) who shot eight-over 80 and fellow senior Avery Sills (75-82-79-236) who finished in 48th place after shooting seven-over in the final round. Burbank had her best finish of the year that finished in a tie for 31st place. Also competing for the Ducks was sophomore Monica Petchakan (85-80-81-246). 


Stanford (287-291-300-878) finished the tournament in first place after shooting 14-over 878 in three rounds. 11 shots back Washington (300-290-299-889) finished in second place after shooting 11-over 299 on the day. NC State (299-297-301-897) and California (291-296-310-897) placed in a tie for third place.

The Ducks will compete in the Anuenue Spring Break Invitational on March 25th to the 27th at the Kapalua Bay Course in Waikoloa, Hawai’i.
