WOODLAND, Calif. -- Oregon freshman Carly O'Connell was named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Rookie of the Week on Monday night (April 8).
It is the second time this season that O'Connell has earned the award; she also received the honor on March 4.
O'Connell scored a career-high four goals and handed out three assists, good enough for a career-best seven points against Cal on Sunday (April 7). She also had a goal, an assist, draw control, ground ball and caused turnover against USC.on April 4.
O'Connell ranks second on the Ducks in points (33), goals (16), assists (15) and draw controls (24) and is tied for the team lead in ground balls (20) and caused turnovers (12).
Stanford's Julia Burns, USC's Caroline Cordrey, Rachael McKinnon of Denver, UC Davis' Mary Doyle and Alexa Comfort of San Diego State were also nominated.
O'Connell and the Ducks next take the field on Wednesday (April 10) at Fresno State.
