Patrignelli Opens Up Mt. SAC with No. 4 Steeple Time

WALNUT, Calif. – Megan Patrignelli opened up Oregon’s stay at the Mt. SAC Relays by running the fourth best 3,000 meter steeplechase time in school history. She was the only Duck in competition on Thursday.

Patrignelli finished eighth overall in 10:17.29. The junior from Monroe, N.Y., set an :08 personal best in running just her second career steeplechase.

Alicia Nelson of Adams State won the race in 10:03.70.

Oregon continues action at Mt. SAC with Becca Friday, Annie Leblanc and Anne Kesselring in the 1,500 meters, Chizoba Okodogbe in the 200 meters and Jenna Prandini in the 100 and 200 meters.

Also on Friday the Ducks will host the Oregon Relays and Arkansas men’s dual meet. The Relays begin at 2 p.m., with the dual meet and Friday evening featured sections starting at 6:15 p.m. at Historic Hayward Field.
