Championship Berth In Sight For Ducks After Two Rounds

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Freshman Brandon McIver and sophomore Jonathan Woo each shot a 67 (-5) to lead the Oregon Ducks on the second day of the NCAA Regionals in Tallahassee, Fla.

The performances by Woo and McIver put the Ducks in prime position to qualify for the NCAA Championships in two weeks. Oregon (-14) enters the final day of regional play in fourth place, two strokes ahead of both Georgia Tech and South Florida and three strokes ahead of Oklahoma (-11).

Oregon must finish in the top-five to qualify for the championships.

North Florida (-27) leads the Tallahassee Regional by two strokes over Washington (-25) and by four over Florida State (-23).

McIver and Woo are tied for sixth in the individual standings; the 3-day tournament features a 75-player field.

Sulman Raza shot two-over today (74) and enters the final round in a tie for 34th. Raza is at even-par through 36 holes. Rak Cho also shot a 74 on Friday and is +3 for the tournament. He is in a tie for 47th overall.

North Florida's MJ Maguire (-11) leads the individual field.

The Tallahassee Regional concludes tomorrow morning at the Golden Eagle Golf and Country Club. The first five tee times feature an Oregon player. Zach Foushee will tee off the final round at 7:55 a.m.
