EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon’s first regular season appearance on ESPNU and 15 matches that will be televised by the Pac-12 Network highlight the 2013 University of Oregon volleyball schedule, as announced by head coach Jim Moore on Monday.

For the Ducks, the 2012 national runners-up, the 16 television appearances are the most in program history, exceeding the 13 regular season appearances in 2012.

The Ducks return two All-Americans, Lauren Plum and Liz Brenner, along with fellow starters Ariana Williams and Canace Finley for Moore’s ninth season in Eugene.

The 46th season of Oregon volleyball begins with a pair of exhibitions, Aug. 17 (Green and Yellow scrimmage) and the Aug. 23 Alumni match.

The regular season debuts with the Oregon Classic, as the Ducks host Bryant, Eastern Washington and Ohio Aug. 30-31.

Then the Ducks open the 2013 volleyball season for the Pac-12 Network with the Portland State match on Sept. 3

Oregon will travel to Michigan with Oregon State for the Big Ten/Pac-12 Challenge Sept. 6-7. The Ducks will play Michigan State first, followed by Michigan, which also made the NCAA Final Four in 2012, the next day. The two Michigan schools will return the matches to Oregon in 2014.

The Ducks return home for a single match on Sept. 10, Seattle, which will be another Pac-12 Network broadcast, before heading to the Fresno State Classic Sept. 13-14. There, Oregon will face Cal State Bakersfield, Belmont and host Fresno State.

Oregon’s 20-match Pac-12 slate begins with Oregon State in Corvallis on Sept. 25, followed by the Pac-12 home opener versus Washington on Sept. 27. Both of those games will be carried on the Pac-12 Network.

The Ducks then play at Arizona on Oct. 4 and Arizona State on Oct. 6 with the later game a Pac-12 Network match.

Oregon returns home on Oct. 11 to host UCLA in the Ducks’ first regular season appearance on ESPNU.

The longest homestand of the year continues with USC on Oct. 13, Colorado on Oct. 18 and Utah on Oct. 20. The USC and Utah matches will be on Pac-12 Network.

The Ducks are back on the road for another pair of Pac-12 Network games, Oct. 23 at Stanford and Oct. 25 at California, before hosting Arizona State on Nov. 1, also on Pac-12 Network. Oregon wraps that brief home set with Arizona on Nov. 2.

The schedule finishes with five of eight on the road. The Ducks will be at USC on Nov. 8 and UCLA on Nov. 10. Two of the final three home games are next with Stanford on Nov. 14 and California Nov. 15. The last three of those matches will be on Pac-12 Network.

Then, it’s an arduous road trip to Utah Nov. 22, Colorado Nov. 24 and Washington State Nov. 27 before closing out the regular season Nov. 29 against Oregon State. The Colorado and Oregon State games wrap up the Pac-12 Network schedule.

The NCAA Tournament begins with the opening two rounds Dec. 5-7. The third and fourth rounds will be played Dec. 13-14 with the NCAA Final Four Dec. 19-21 in Seattle, Wash.

The Ducks will play 14 matches against 2012 NCAA Tournament teams, including Michigan, Michigan State and Belmont in the non-conference and 11 more in Pac-12 play.
