EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon tennis programs will host their third annual fan day at the Student Tennis Center on Fri., Jan. 10, at 5:30 p.m. Fans and the community are encouraged to come and meet both coaches and players from the tennis programs before kicking off the 2014 season. Participants will also have an opportunity to hit with the players as well.

Complimentary pizza, snacks and drinks will be provided along with free raffles with tons of great prizes that include a free lesson from a member of the coaching staff. Every fan in attendance will also receive a free t-shirt. 

Head coach Paul Reber and the women’s team looks to improve upon their 13-10 overall record last season with the additions of five freshmen in Lina Åkesson, Maja Salibasic, Allie Hueffner, Kadie Hueffner and Marlou Kluiving while junior Jasmine Minor joins the Ducks having spent her first two seasons at Georgia Tech.

On the other side, head coach Nils Schyllander led the men’s squad to a 16-8 finish last season. The Ducks are joined by three freshmen (Jayson Amos, Alex Marcinkowski and Alberto Reyes) and a pair of transfers in junior Joey Swaysland (Texas) and Kevin Farin (University of Brussels).
