SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - The No. 3 ranked Oregon softball team run ruled Utah, 14-3, on Monday afternoon to sweep the three-game Pac-12 conference series.

The Ducks (26-3, 3-0 Pac-12) scored 14 runs on 15 hits with two errors while the Utes (11-12, 1-4) posted three runs on five hits with one error.

A day after Alexa Peterson had six RBIs to tie for the fifth most in UO single-game history, Kailee Cuico matched her with six RBIs on Monday. Cuico hit a grand slam in the Ducks' seven-run third inning and hit a two-RBI double as part of a six-run fifth inning.

Peterson added three more RBIs on Monday, giving her 13 over the three game series with the Utes. The senior hit a ridiculous .857 in the series, going 6-for-7 with four walks plus five runs scored, two doubles, a triple and a grand slam in addition to her 13 RBIs.

Koral Costa added a pair of homers for the Ducks, who tallied 35 hits in the series.

"We got a ton of production from the middle of our lineup this weekend," said head coach Mike White. "I'm really impressed with our hitters this series."

Cheridan Hawkins (15-2) picked up the win after limiting the Utes to three runs (one earned) on five hits in five innings with 10 strikeouts and just one walk. Hawkins has allowed more than one earned run in just four of her 21 appearances and in only three of her 15 starts this year. She's surrendered six total earned runs over her last 107 innings pitched, good for a 0.37 ERA in that stretch.

"Cheridan mixed in some of her other pitches well today," White added. "Today was another good step forward in her progression."

The Ducks opened the game with a run in the first on a sacrifice fly by Peterson before Utah tied it up in the bottom of the second.

Oregon jumped all over Utah starter Kayce Nieto in the third, putting up seven runs on six hits and one error. After Janelle Lindvall walked to load the bases, Cuico came up and mashed a grand slam over the center field fence. Costa followed with a solo homer for back-to-back jacks in the inning. Sammie Puentes singled, stole second and moved to third on a passed ball before Nikki Udria singled to score another run in the third. Courtney Ceo then tripled in Udria to cap the monster inning.

Costa homered again to start the fifth inning. Lexy Beaudrie-Pierson's RBI single up the middle scored the second run of the inning before Peterson hit a double to right to score a pair. Two at-bats later and with runners at second and third, Cuico doubled to left center for her fifth and sixth RBIs of the game and the fifth and sixth runs of the fifth inning.

The Ducks had 10 different players get a hit on Monday, with Costa's three knocks (two homer leading the way. Cuico, Udria and Janie Takeda each had two hits.

Oregon will stay on the road for another day to play a doubleheader with Southern Utah and BYU on Tuesday in Provo, Utah. The Ducks and SUU will start at 3 p.m. with the BYU game to follow.
